Special Education Assistant

The Hope Learning Center is currently in need of an experienced Special Education Assistant to join our team. This position involves providing support services to members of the Special Education Department.


Special Education Assistant responsibilities

  • Communication with contracted schools and districts regarding students, IEP Meetings, and documentation
  • Administrative duties including faxing, scanning, data entry and filing of confidential records and information
  • Working along side other administrative team members on efficiency of administrative workflow
  • Perform any additional duties as deemed necessary by the executive and education director

Special Education Assistant qualifications

  • 2+ years’ special education experience
  • Experience working with IEP Writer
  • Candidates must possess the three criminal background checks(Act 33, Act 34, and Act 114) and Act 168 prior to start date. Criminal background checks must have been completed within the past year.
