Paraprofessional Aide

Paraprofessional Aide Our Early Learning Facility is currently in need of an experienced Paraprofessional Aide to join our team. The overall goal of the paraprofessional aide is to improve education for students affected by developmental disorders through curriculum development, teacher training, family support, outreach, technology, and public awareness.

Paraprofessional Aide* responsibilities*

  • Provide 1:1 academic support and remediation for students in literacy, math, organization and planning
  • Develop appropriate lesson plans for the development of specific skills
  • Set specific goals for improvement and use assessment to gauge skill development
  • Communicate with treatment team about child’s progress and needs with classroom teachers and
  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings
  • Advise parents and teachers on implementation of programs
  • Monitor and evaluate clients' progress
  • Write and maintain confidential client case notes and reports, as well as information for parents and other professionals
  • Work with others to improve the effectiveness of service delivery
  • Plan and deliver training sessions
  • Participate in research projects.
  • Perform any additional duties as deemed necessary by the director

Paraprofessional Aide* qualifications*

  • 2+ years’ experience
  • Candidates must possess the three criminal background checks(Act 33, Act 34, and Act 114) and Act 168 prior to start date. Criminal background checks must have been completed within the past year.
