Education: Master's Degree in Psychology from Duquesne University. Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Washington and Jefferson University.
Focus of Practice: Teacher/Licensed Behavior Specialist
Experience: Lisa Leach joined The Hope Learning Center in 2012. Lisa has 15 years of experience working with children affected with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Lisa has over 8 years experience in the clinical management field serving as an Autism director, regional director of Autism services, and a clinical supervisor. She has previously served as a director for a site based program as well. Lisa began her journey with children with Autism Spectrum disorders while working at a summer camp between her undergraduate and graduate experience. Lisa has attended a vast number of training's over her years as a BSC for Discrete trial, Applied Verbal behavior, social skills, and a variety of other interventions. Lisa believes that a program needs to be based on an assessment of the child and set up utilizing the strategies that are proven to be effective through research and assessed on an ongoing basis to determine if adjustments need to be made for the specific child. Lisa has facilitated numerous training's and participated on the training and professional development committee through her previous employers. Lisa feels that training is essential in increasing one’s knowledge and Lisa loves teaching and sharing with others her joy for working with children.
Desirae Hoffman, M. Ed., LBS
Education: Master's Degree in Special Education with a focus in Applied Behavior Analysis from California University of Pennsylvania. Dual bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Special Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Focus of Practice: Special Education Teacher/Licensed Behavior Specialist
Experience: Desirae Hoffman joined The Hope Learning Center in October of 2016. Desirae has gained a vast amount of experience through her work as an In-home ABA therapy technician, Personal Care Assistant and as a Special Education Teacher. She is currently licensed as a Behavior Specialist and is in the process of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
