Hope Learning Center Hosts International Sensory Training

May 16th, 2019- The Hope Learning Center, in partnership with TFH USA, International Snozelen Multi-Sensory Environments Association, Globe Star Quality of Life Services and the Quality of Life Institute, Inc., hosted a three day workshop on foundations and strategies for integrating multi-sensory environments into classrooms and homes.

The three day work shop focused on a day for therapists, educators and caregivers/family members. The use of state of the art sensory toys and equipment was covered as well as how to integrate them into special needs applications.

Workshop presenters included Maurits Eijgendaal, the President of the International Snozelen-MSE Association, Ad Verheul, Co-Founder of Snoezelen, Dr. Anthony M. McCrovitz, the Executive Director of Quality of Life Institute, Inc. and Karen Pool, General Manager of TFH USA.

Snozelen Multi-Sensory Environments were developed in the 1970's to create a stress-reducing, pleasent sensory experience for special needs patients. Since it's inception, it has become the preeminent authority on sensory room design and research and a global leader in sensory therapy.
